I'm trying the volt mod with version beta18 msiafterburner.
with voltmod you can climb up to 1.3v. (but not I go up to them)

In the bios I just changed the target power up to 150 max.
you can not change the voltage.

I use air cooling 2 artic accelero 690

maximum temperature under stress 1.225v +150 +600 cores and mem (heaven 4.0 bench)

arrival at 82 ° c max

I know that the volt mod works, but I am not sure if the power target actually works, even when changed in bios, possibly due to the complexity of 690 bios having a dual gpu, and a plx chip. Have you tried the over volt on benches with and without the modded bios? If so, can you share some results? Thanks

I have not tried it with the original and modified bios ... I edited it before anyway.
So I do not know if it serves the 150 max target power ... I'll see GPUZ under stress.

But +150 mhz on the core with default vcore was not before the voltmod,
and with the addition llc drop mod.

I will do further testing.

Anyone else having issues with the new driver? My GPU would only go up to 36% power, and get horrible FPS.

And if I change from SLI to non-SLI back to SLI my driver dies, and I have to re-install it.

Just a heads up. Installing the Twin Turbo 690 gilled my GTX 690. Everything was correclty mounted but after a couple of minutes of stress testing the GPU died. I guess some kind of VRM or similar didn't get enough cooling.

On the plus side i have an awesome bookstopper for my books in the living room smile.gif

Oh no guiltysmiley.gif commiserations

On the positive side I put my second GTX 690 in today without a hitch and here are the twins (or is it quads?) in action.
Latest mod to my rig, a second GTX 690.

Nice rig. I guess the Twin Turbo i got was faulty in some way. After a closer inspection the insulating plastic seems to be off on some places. On the plus side the cooler was very silent while it worked tongue.gif

Sad for you dude ! bad news got mine working for months .... You 're unlucky redface.gif

the famous insulating strip .... over the VRM To prevent... "KaBOom"

Guess what ? i've thrown this strip directly to the trash bin ....

No issues at all !

what kitguru said during the review of this custom cooler :

"ARCTIC recommend you use the little insulation strips to cover circuit components. There is really no need to use these as the card spacing wouldn’t touch any of the sensitive components. If you want to be safe, then run the insulation strips across the circuitry close to the VRMS on the board."

Cheers
