When I get back from dinner I will try +130 to see what it does...if it also crashes, it looks like +120 it is for me, then I will work on raising the memory some more. At +120 Core, 135% Power and +200 on memory I ran 4-5 runs of Unigine at full tilt and did 4 runs of 3dmark11 with no issues. Also scored 25k in 3dmark11 "P" score!

Hmm...I could do +140Mhz core, +200mem just fine, I ran 3x Heaven and 2x 3DMark without issues.

Before you give up though, I would suggest trying +140-145 Core, drop Mem to +150 and see what happens. Otherwise you're still getting a really nice OC and great scores. thumb.gif

Mine seems to crash above 1250Mhz right away and will run for a few minutes before crashing at 1225. 1202 might be stable but I'll need to check later tonight... sorta like the 725 offset I got on the memory. Will most likely have to lower it a bit to up the core frequency.

I'm curious if liquid cooling the card will lower the voltage needed to maintain 1225-1250.

Although I would be interested to see what kind of scores you would get on 3DMark 11 and Unigine tongue.gif

Here's my scores with the computer I have listed in my profile (AMD Phenom II X4 965 http://3dmark.com/3dm11/3401557 ). I'm about P5,000 short compared to an Intel 3770K based system otherwise the rests of the graphics scores are just 2-10 FPS less. Where I really get crushed is the Physics and Combined tests, the 3770K system is twice as fast.

AMD 965 vs Intel 3770K
http://3dmark.com/compare/3dm11/3401557/3dm11/3400083

3DMark Score - P10245
Graphics Score - 17007
Physics Score - 4748
Combined Score - 4563
Graphics Test 1 - 77.96 FPS
Graphics Test 2 - 80.45 FPS
Graphics Test 3 - 106.34 FPS
Graphics Test 4 - 51.46 FPS
Physics Test - 15.07 FPS
Combined Test - 21.22 FPS

This may sound crazy, but i'm going to run benchmarks using EVGA's LED Controller to shut off the LED, and see if I can attain a higher OC...LOL.

The LED is just plugged into a 2-pin 12v fan connection on the PCB. All the software technically does is control the amount of voltage being fed out of that 2-pin connection, as the drivers see the LED as a "fan," and allows software control of the voltage (LED is brightened/dimmed depending on how much voltage you feed it with the LED controller).

The voltage required by the LED is most likely completely insignificant, but hey, you never know, that extra tiny bit of voltage the LED is drawing might just be what I need to get to that next level, LOL. tongue.gif

Thanks for that advice. I am done with 1 run of unigine at +140 on the offset, lowered memory to +150 and no crash yet. Temps are also ver good at 65c-68c...boost clocks range from 1199 to 1202 right now on all 4 Gpu's. It is starting run 2 right now..so far so good.

I'm getting like 50 fps on Metro 2033 with everything maxed. Is this normal?

I'm running stock settings on everything on the computer and my specs are in my sig.

Water wont help it. It is not crashing due to the heat, it is due to not being able to give it a little more volts...of course unless you are running too hot. For me, heat is not the issue it's the fact that we cannot add a little bit more voltage.

Good to see the club starting to move foward as we're all starting to get out cards and learning together what they can do. It's been very informational and we've only just begun.

So here's a pic of my final build. Only two things left is to get the 690 back plate and I'm going to be removing the RAM fins and painting them white to complete the inside coordination.

I must say carefully choosing the components and having a nice variety to choose from made this a very easy build with some personal definition to my rig. This card really tops off the rig with that elitist feel and can't wait to play games. I'm going to run through my favorite games like Crysis, Crysis 2, BF3 campaigns in absolute ultimate settings not holding back. Really enjoy the performance of my build as I await Crysis 3 out soon.

The bottom fan pointing up into the GTX 690 brought my idle temp down to a constant 30C. wink.gif
