Unlocking cores 960t

Thread Starter
Alright I spent all day getting parts putting together and building I want to try to unlock the extra cores on my 960t I am using my infuse build. But it wont boot after I turn on the UCC mode

Any guides I should read to help me out can I just bump the voltage a bit

Processor Max is 1.5500v

CPU Voltage - 1.275v

NB Voltage 1.1500v

any ideas?

At the moment nothing is overclocked but I do plan to overclock so keeping the stock 4 cores running low temp and with a good OC would be good too just wondering how far I can push it

not every 960t is unlockable. you may have one that doesnt do it. keep that in mind. when i unlocked mine it booted up just fine with no voltage tweaks.

Alright yeah I was just seeing if there was anyway but I mean I think that if I had to bump the voltage up then that would hinder my OC so I will just keep it at 4 and OC it from there smile.gif Installing ubuntu now starting OC in a bit finally about damn time I get going on this lol

try updating your motherboard's bios to the latest revision.
after updating the bios on my ta990fxe to the newest revision,
my 960t was ableto unlock to 6 cores when it previously was
not able to. give it a go mate thumb.gif
