i5 3570k --- i7 3770k

Ivy Bridge is FINALLY here!! Those of us who have decided to jump right in and buy a new Ivy Bridge CPU (amidst all of the negative reports) can use this thread to discuss and compare our new chips!

REQUIRED TO JOIN

Please use this form to self-enter yourself into the club!
A CPU-Z Validation link is still required and the user it is published from must be the same as your OCN username!

In order to join the Ivy Bridge Owners' Club, you must enter all the required information in the form that meets the following requirements!

You MUST have a batch number for your CPU. This can be found on a printed label on the outside of the retail box that your CPU came in. It is also printed on the IHS (integrated heat sink) on the top of the chip. The batch number will start with either the letter ' L' or the number '3'.

It is also required that you validate your OC result using the CPU-Z validator. If you have internet on the rig you're OCing, simply click "Validate" button in bottom of CPU-Z window to open CPU-Z Validation window. Then hit "Submit" button in 'Online Mode' section of CPU-Z Validation window. You can also click "Save Validation File" in 'Manual Mode' section of the CPU-Z Validation Window. This will save a file for you to manually submit to the online validator.
Make sure that CPUZ is showing the OC speed of you CPU when you click "validate". For those of you who do not disable the CPU C-states, real-time ratio changes in the OS, thermal response, etc. and your CPU changes multiplier while in the OS, you need to make sure your CPU is under sufficient load to run at full speed. Otherwise your CPUZ validation will only show an underclocked frequency. (If you still have problems figuring out how to validate CPU-Z, use google to learn how)

TO UPDATE YOUR INFO
To update your MAX OC in the spreadsheet after you have already been added to the list, please make a post in this format:
A post is still required to update your max OC!

very nice! I see you dropped your PLL a lot! I was thinking that would be a good way to help lower the heat of these chips.

No. That is exactly the reason why I buy it from Tigerdirect. Newegg, NCIX, and Microcenter all charge sales tax in California. Amazon is too expensive.
Only thing about this is Microcenter is $60 cheaper and you can get 5% off If you sign up for their ads and become a part of there rewards program. So if you go to microcenter today you can walk out with a 3750K $164 after tax and have it today. As long as you sign up for the rewards program.
Edit : nm just noticed its no $159.99 I don't know why I though it was $159.99

Unfortunately I don't have Microcenter nearby, gas price alone negates the savings.

No, and yes. The only real difference is a lower TDP and 22nm.

Related to the thread, I just ordered my new Ivy Bridge rig parts this morning after selling my Fully Watercooled X58 rig, was too much overkill for me. mATX mid range from now.

Was going to go X79, then realised that that too would be overkill. Was going to go with Sandybridge, but I thought I may as well wait for Ivy as it was only a week or so away, glad I did.

So it didn't live up to its hype then? I'll stick with my SB build then thank you for the response

It did for me. Can't use PCIE 3.0 without Ivy and it has a better IMC, too. I wouldn't upgrade to Ivy from a 2600K though.

Well, not that, just that it's not worth upgrading from a 2600k to a 3770k, because you will see no real world performance gains at all, it's just not worth the extra cost. If it was from a Core 2 Duo, then sure it's worth every penny, but it'd be an extreme sidegrade for you.

If you were going for a complete new gaming system, though, which cpu would you go for out of 2500K/2600K/2700K/3820/3750K/3770K?
