Asus VH242S only has a VGA input?

Thread Starter
So I've just noticed my fully fledged 1080p Asus VH242S only has one input and its vga. When i first got it i just plugged the vga in without thinking about it.

So my question is, what is going on? I didn't know vga was 1080p capable? My resolution in windows is set to 1920x1080... it looks 1080p (as far as i know...)

I run a DVI to VGA adapter from the back of my graphics card. I just don't understand, i thought the monitor should have more than just one VGA input considering it is a 1080p monitor? I thought 1080p needed at least DVI or HDMI etc.

If this it's just me being stupid, I'm sorry Im not a genius with display tongue.gif

Thanks,

dang that blows. VGA can run 1920 x 1080 yes, not sure if its "literly 1080p" i've looked up the monitor to make sure yours isnt the only one that has just 1 VGA and yeh.. seems like all the Asus VH242S got only 1 VGA. in your situation.. if you bought it locally and still within 30 days you can exchange it, but if you bought it online.. just stick with VGA no biggie. good luck though
