A large number of public demo stations at the event will allow attendees to try out the latest multiplayer build of Heart of the Swarm in advance of the upcoming beta test. Let me be more clear. The HoTS beta was known, the fact that it would be playable in advance at MLG Anaheim was not (until it was posted on TL). Also MLG Anaheim is going to have a bunch of brood war pros switching over to sc2. It's going to be the e-sports event of the year.

oooo! Does this mean they are going to start adding new units to the game? I thought they agreed that they wouldn't and that the trilogy was only going to be for the story line.

SC2 wasn't too big for me. It only slightly added to the original but never changed enough for my satisfaction. So I just went back to CoH, which is radically different. I dunno, hopefully this expansion adds enough to the game to draw my attention again.

I'm pretty excited for the release of HoTS but i really want to see the mothership stay. When they announced HoTS, the Metagame was so different than it is now....

A lot of players have already gotten bored and quited the game even before this expansion (which is not the players' fault, blizzard is really taking way too long, it will soon be more than 2 years if they don't speed things up). They would really want to bring those players back with this.

if they wouldn't add new units, the expansion would be a portion of the story, some maps and some UI / balance changes



and you know what that is?


THAT IS A NEW CALL OF DUTY




only hardcore SC2 players, you know, the one that's already playing it, will buy this expansion if that's the case. Might even lose some less hardcore players who are disappointed with this expansion

If they want to attract new players, or the already-quited old players, they need to bring something fresh to the table.
