Needed about 1.33v for reference.. Wouldn't boot at 5GHz no matter what i did. mad.gif
Doesn't matter, I didn't want to tweak too much 'cause I didn't have a long time to stress it.. Only used IBT for an hour or so in total..

My point exactly... he should be shooting for a real suicide run, not an overclock lots of us use 24/7 stable with no issue's. I want to see 5.5+Ghz wink.gif

Just pump whatever high vcore it needs for 5000-5300mhz prime95 load. Check out an overclocking guide for your particular motherboard that will help with dynamic voltage settings, droop, offset, load line calibration, IO/phase, pll, etc, That should be somewhere between 1450 and 1650 mvcc 1.45-1.65 vcore.

For example, just try 1.55vcore and 5050mhz, see if it passes prime95 stress test, and take some screenshots of the loaded temperatures. If it passes 15 minutes of testing, bump it up to 5100. See if you can get it stable for an hour or two. Your core temperatures will hit whatever the number is just below thermal junction like 97/98C or 103/104C before each core will independently throttle once it's temperature sensor reaches maximum pre-Thermtrip or Prochot.

If you kill the chip it will likely be a vcc/pll spike for instant death or long term electromigration thermal degradation. You'll need a constant 100C over many months, or a direct 1.8 -2.2 pll / vcore or a power surge.

Looking forward to your updates, thank you!!

Or like the guy above me said a suicide of 5500 for a prime run would be cool too. Or max validation.

Edit: settings help

CPU voltage ranges from 0.75V-1.70V, memory 1.10V-2.08V. Enable PLL Overvoltage to get 1.8-1.95 ranges.

***** Mother Board Voltage Control ****** Voltage Types Normal Current
>>>
CPU Load-Line Calibration [Auto] Enable this to stop vdroop
Dynamic Vcore(DVID) +0.000V [Auto] Boost this
QPI/Vtt Voltage 1.050V [Auto] boost this it feeds the IMC
System Agent Voltage 0.925V [Auto] System agent is intels name for other crap on the cpu like IMC same as VTT
Graphics DVID +0.000V [Auto] graphics, dont worry about igp voltage unless u have problems.
>>> MCH/ICH CPU PLL 1.800V [Auto]
DRAM Voltage 1.500V [Auto]
DRAM VRef. 0.750V [Auto]
DRAM Termination 0.750V [Auto]\

Use a dinky passive cooler, fry an egg ontop of it.
