an rs240 kit is a great kit. It's only slightly more than an h100, and I've actually gotten my friends 2600k to 5.0GHz with one

It's also a very good starting point for a custom loop, since I've gotten mine, I've sold the original rs240 radiator and gotten an rx240 and an rx360

I run my 2600k at 4.7GHz 24/7, and as you can see I have a Kuhler 920 which is the direct competitor of the H80 and I get ~75-79C temps with P95 Large FFT's. I set the voltage to 1.380, lowest it has been is 1.376. Maybe I can go lower but I don't have the time to continue testing. Just have voltages in mind when you reach those speeds!

If the H100 won't fit in his case, it's likely an rs240 kit won't either.

The H100 has to be mounted inside the case, the rs240 does not. If he is willing to put it on the outside he will be fine. biggrin.gif

I think I will go for an H80 and OC about 4.5GHZ 24/7 maybe more, only doubts I have on it are the loud fans.

Any fans you fellas recommend?

Another extreme air cooler that was released recently and logically is on par with the NH-D 14 is the Thermaltake Frio Extreme. It has the same double heatsink and fan design, but with greater airflow and higher RPM fans. It's new and I haven't heard much about it, so it might be a gamble.

Honestly, you're better off with the NH-D14 than the H80. I'd grab the NH-D14, Thermalright Silver Arrow, or Phanteks TC14PE instead of the H80. If you're feeling adventurous, buy some Indigo Xtreme/MainGear Epic T1000. The H80 will be handily beat and you'll have a quieter heatsink.

It's worse than the Phanteks TC14PE (according to Pro-Clockers)and costs more. Not worth it in my book.
