AMD FX-62 Dualcore O/C Help - Page 2

Well for me, a w/c option is too expensive atm, what r the recommended fan solutions.

BTW I upped my multiplier from 14 to 15, and it took my speed from 2.8ghz per core to 3.00ghz per core. Gonna leave it and see how it goes..

Thanks again all for ur help

Big Tyhoon is probably the most common and sucessful fan cooler.

Good luck with the oc, try using prime95 for checking stability

Changes in FPS <60 are not discernable by human eye-sight, or so I have heard. Its not very suprising you didnt notice a huge increase in FPS, you would most likely see a larger increase if you overclocked your GPU as opposed to your CPU. Anyways, most games are CPU limited until you start running it at very high resolutions. That is most likely why you didnt see a huge increase in speeds.

good point. That card you have there runs very well at very high resolutions

Overclocking your cpu doesn't really affect your fps much, altough I'm sure it should increase a little bit. If you overclocked your graphics card you would definitely see a change

Download coolbits from here.....

http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=815

Its a registry entry that unlocks new options in the Nvidia Control Panel. You will see an overclocking option that has become available, click this and select "detect optimal settings" this will overclock your card.
