Can't connect to my modem page

Thread Starter
So I want to host a SQL Database so that I can access it remotely, but in order to do that I need to open the right port in my modem firewall. The problem is that when I type my modem's static IP into my browser it just sits there forever trying to load. I have tried resetting my modem and everything, no luck. Any ideas?

Have you tryed https/port 8080/8443?
Or
Download nmap from here

http://nmap.org/download.html

Point it at the router and scan it, this will tell you what ports are open, then connect smile.gif
