[Build Log] ~~REMEDY~~RIVE, 3930k, CaseLabs STH10 - Page 6

It still seems pretty low to me. My 6970 alone pulls in around 9-10k ppd and you have a 7970 as well as an 8-thread processor. It might be due to the fact that there isn't an updated core for the 7970 but the CPU alone should get more than 13k I believe.

It also kind of depends on the WU you get. I typically use client v6, because I seem to get more productive WU's, maybe it's just my imagination, or I didn't give v7 enough time.

A 3930k is a beast folder when heavily OC'd, even stock you should be getting more than 13k PPD from the CPU itself I would imagine.

I have a question for you all. I want to run 4 fans on one header on my fan controller but I think I don't have enough power to do so. From what I see my controller is the Scythe Kaze Master Pro and it has 1 amp per channel with a max of 12 watts. My fans are Yate Loon D12SH-12 they spec out at 0.3 AMP and 3.6 watt if I am not mistaken. So 4 Yate Loon fans are about 1.2 AMP and 14.4 watts which is too much for my controller. What controller do you recommend that is a quality controller? Or do you think mine would work?

(I need 2 of:) I was looking at this as plan B:

On a side note the Folding PPD went up to 14300. It was fluctuating from 12k-14k before it finished.

The 3D visualization will lower your ppd if you have it open BTW.

I can hardly wait to try the new PC. The past few weeks have been really exciting for me. Everyday there is a new box at my door LOL!

Some more off topic ranting while I wait for more parts to arrive.

I wanted to see how good my 5 year old PC stacks up at Folding to my gaming PC. It blows my new PC away. I am going back to Green Team and selling my HD7970!

I'd say wait for an updated core. You should be pulling in 13-14k per 7970 at least. I get around 10k on my single 6970.
