I was doing 12k -15k with an XFX black edition HD 7970 so I guess I am right within range.

Slight change of plans on the new build. I am thinking of leaving my gaming PC intact and ordering all new parts for this build. So I guess I will need a new CPU water block and some other stuff to keep both PC's running. I was thinking about the EK-Supreme HF CPU water blocks. I like the EN Full Nickle and Black Acetal and EN Nickle.

If I did buy EK-Ram blocks the Black Acetal CPU block would match well. I kinda feel like the ram blocks are just superficial and make the loop congested. Plus I do like the Full Nickle more and it would match the Koolance MB block too. I like the fact that the threads on the Koolance MB block and EK Full Nickle are metal. They might last longer and take more abuse. What do you think?

As for what compression fittings to use, I can not find Swiftech 45s, 90s, spacers, etc etc due the fact they are so new. I most likely will end up with Matt Black Bitspower. Yet even finding the Bitspower fittings I need all at the same website is tough or impossible. One site has this but not that when did water cooling get so popular? biggrin.gif

Maybe Ill try contacting Swiftech and Bitspower direct since the total amount for the fittings will be almost a grand. Maybe I should call this PC build my Second Wife since it loves money so much. devil-smiley-019.gif

Decisions time again. Fan controllers are all starting to look the same to me. I think I want to keep the look clean and opt not use a controller with knobs. That leaves few to chose with a standout called Aquacomputer aquaero 5 XT. I don't know much about it so I have some reading to do.

After doing my research I am going to give the EK Full Nickle CPU block a go. It is very close in performance to my Swiftech Apogee HD block with tons more flow which is what I wanted. Also I think that the Aquacomputer with all the extra parts might pose too many problems that can go wrong. I am going to keep it simple for now and try the Lamptron FC Touch. It has 4 channels with 30 watts each. That should be plenty if the controller will run at those specs

The 480 Rads will have 8 Yate Loon High Speed fans @ 3.6 watts per fan = 28.8 watts per channel
The 360 Rads will have 6 Yate Loon High Speed fans @ 3.6 watts per fan = 21.6 watts per channel
2 X 480 Rads
2 X 360 Rads

How long will this controller last before I burn it up? Place your bets lol

I want to see how well these Yate Loon's work and sound. They might get the axe on this build. Who knows. Maybe I'll try some GT AP15's since they are so nice and use less watts
