So with improved cooling and a wee bit of overclocking I would be surprised to see an easy 11 pts. on Cinebench.
Looks like Ivy bridge isn't so bad after all, but REALLY HOT.

At 4.8ghz it got 9.73pts on cinebench here (shows a 5ghz 3570k too):

edit:

opps looks like someone already posted it, I came across it when looking for 3570k results since thats all I can still find in stock lol. I think Im gonna stick just go with a 2600k though for $259 at microcenter, the 2700k is $279 which is appealing, but at this point in manufacturing, I bet the 2700k isnt any better binned.

So glad I ignored the "Ivy Bridge will be the greatest chip ever" cult mentality. To me, looks like a massive disappointment. 8.3 at stock in cenbench is pretty awesome tho. My old 2600K would do 10.0 at 5Ghz. My 3930K on the other hand, does 14.0 at 4.8Ghz and 14.25 at 4.9Ghz.
I suppose the jury is still out on the IB, once we see cinebench scores above 10 from the 3770K then it will get interesting.
EDIT: oops, found a result in a review here
3770K @ 4.8 scored 9.73 - SB needs 4.9 to beat it.
