But the biggest question is what's your budget?

The other thing to look at is not only is there a slight performance difference but they cost the same, so there really isn't much of a reason to not get it. Your system WILL work with 1333 that you have just fine, but if you are going to be buying more just get the 1600.
Since you mentioned budget isn't an issue, I would grab a GTX 680 with the 2500K and rock house.

Ram frequency isn't going to make hardly the slightest bit of difference for gaming. It will look good in terms on bandwidth in benchmarks, it will not increase frame rates.

There are threads all over this site about this.

There are slight differences but the money would most likely be better spent on a better GPU - DDR3 1333 is sufficient for now and so is 6GB honestly. I just went from 4 to 12 gb and my games could care less - I got it for messing around with virtual machines. If you're not going to run VM's then 6GB is more than enough TBH.

If you were building new, I'd say spend the extra money on faster RAM - but you have 6GB already and buying more and throwing out the old for 2% performance gain is just silly IMHO.

Spend the money elsewhere!

Which is exactly why I said his current memory will work fine, but if he is going to be buying more anyways (not having to worry about a budget) to get the 1600. thumb.gif

If he feels the need to upgrade anyway, then yes that's fine - just not going to see any difference so it doesn't make sense for him to bother that's all.
