Good Semi/Modular PSU 850W or above suggestions

*WILL TAKE ANY BRAND SUGGESTIONS*

looking to do a 3570k, SLI 680's, WC pump, 2 sticks ram, 2 HDD, 1SD, 11 fans - may have to drop down to xfire 7970's due to availability and I'm itching to build. Its going into a Switch810 all on water - don't want my PSU to really be an issue now or in the future.

Suggestions?

Is 850W enough? Was the impression I'd kind of gotten however I'm by no means against going higher.

TX850M (semi)

HX850 - HX1050 (semi)

AX850 AX1200 (full modular)

As far as what Corsair offers I've listed above, I am by NO means bound to any brand and am more then happy to consider anything else!

850W is considerably more than you need, especially for 680s which are very modest in regard to power consumption.... that being said, I'd suggest you pick a Seasonic X660 @ 122$ shipped from NCIX if you're set on 680s.... for 7970s you'd something a tad more powerful, a Rosewill Capstone 750 or Lightning 800 would make excellent choices, bother are well priced at newegg currently... a Kingwin Lazer Gold 850 would also make an excellent choice(~150$ at newegg).

Ah just realized I never mentioned I would be overclocking, did figure it was assumed - the PSU calc tool available in this forum after entering my information (not including water cooling pump) only lists PSU's for 850, and 900 watts - do you believe the tool is overestimating my needs?

Better question might be, do you have any specific brands/models that you personally think are top notch? From there it would be a simple *select a price/wattage*

-edit: +rep for help! Also, I'd rather make all these assumptions on the more power hungry choices, as I could say wind up with the 7970's, and say my replacement GPU/CPU's in ~2years may need more power?

Yes, two 680s and a 3570K at any clocks will not pull more than ~550W(say 600W if you have A Lot of other stuff)... for 7970s thae value goes up to about 700W since they do overclock like mad and become pigs at 1.25v or above.

I already gave you some examples/suggestions... here's a more complete list:

I'm very doubtful that they will draw more power than current cards do, once the 28nm process matures and leakage becomes less and less of an issue, the power requirements will only go down.

I'd jump on a Corsair AX/HX 850w, 7 year warranty and although I haven't gone through more than 4 PSUs in my short time my corsair HX850 has been around at the longest (3 years).

Also don't buy just enough power to do the 600w draw of the system (as Sin stated earlier), you'll want something to be around 100-200 more than enough to get that efficiency rating going @ below 90% usage. The brand list provided earlier as well are all good as well but I'd stick with Corsair in my opinion.

Thanks for all the imput guys! Thoughts on semi modular vs full? I'll be having a NZXT Switch810 so there will be a huge window there, not sure if it really makes a difference however.

Either works just as well, really just a personal preference if you want to spend less on semi that has your eight pin and 24 pin coming through a hole or want to splurge (only like $30 more ever) to get have the 24 pin and 8 pin blend in with the other modular cables. I'd go full modular however, more aesthetically pleasing imo if it's visible through a window for the majority of the time.
