Please tell me that's just the resolution you'll be broadcasting at. My 550 ti can game at 1080 max settings with around 30 fps.

I thought the crowbar was to help pry open my wallet in order to be able to afford one. 8800 Ultra comes to mind for some reason.

Please tell me you are joking, this is for 1440p/1600p/multi-monitors, if you use it for any less it is a colossal waste of money.

this.
1080p can be maxed with a $300 card.
This beast can crank 80+ fps on all games @ much higher resolution.
To be honest, the way the GTX 690 is looking, it might even be overkill for 1440/1600p monitors...

My OC'd GTX 590 currently can average 55-58FPS in BF3 @ 2560x1440, Ultra settings, 2xAA...4xAA just kills it because of the VRAM wall.

Judging by the early 690 benchmarks, it can EASILY do 80+ FPS on BF3 @ Ultra, 4xAA, 16xAF...so I don't think VRAM is going to be an issue in the least bit. Not even GTX 680/680 SLI setups are having issues running 2GB of VRAM. Sure, i'd like 3-4GB, but as it stands....I highly, highly doubt that 2GB is not sufficient for every single game that's out right now and games that will come out within the next 12-18 months.

Battlefield 3 might also not be the best example, since it eats VRAM if it's available, regardless of how much your card has, but it's universally seen as the most graphically demanding game right now, which is why I used it as a reference...
