this.
1080p can be maxed with a $300 card.
This beast can crank 80+ fps on all games @ much higher resolution.

Sarcasm is easily lost through text it seems.

Try the Witcher 2 MAX with ubersampling at 1080p and report your FPS. I'm betting you will rarely even see 30FPS. That game will molest even 580 SLI. Saying you can max games at 1080p without telling what games you're talking about is pointless.

Metro is a good deal more demanding then Battlefield is. I can think of a few games that are actually.

Anyway I don't like when companies send this stuff out and review sites accept it. I understand it's just part of the way they do things now but it just seems awfully close to bribery to me. I liked it when journalists would not accept anything period end of story. This goes for all journalists too not just tech.

I'm not saying a crowbar is going to make someone give an unfair review either all I'm saying is when you send limited edition stuff out to journalists in general you are getting close to it. AMD did the same thing with their medicine bottles so it's not exclusive to Nvidia either.

Actually, BF3 is more fully developed in terms of the tech involved with the Frostbite 2 engine and how it takes advantage of DX11 than Metro is. Metro looks good, but it's also TERRIBLY unoptimized - that is the reason it appears so demanding.

The only other comparably taxing game I would say is The Witcher 2, when ubersampling is used - then again, this isn't exactly the best comparison either, since Ubersampling is a very, very taxing method of having to render EVERYTHING in a frame up to 4x, etc., to accomplish the visual enhancement.

Battlefield 3 and other games don't have to do that to achieve the same/better level of graphical quality. It's not hard to implement ubersampling; it's just a very forced way of upping graphics. Even Crysis 2, with the DX11 + HiRes texture packs installed, looks better than Metro and comparable to The Witcher 2, imo.
