I called it thumb.gif

Also, if they gave you 4GB, they wouldn't have a main selling point for their next top end GPU line up rolleyes.gif

I agree that Metro is not actually a very good looking game. Well I'll amend that actually it has the best ups but the worst lows if that makes any sense. Out of the three Dx11 games listed I thik Crysis 2 is the most consistent closely followed by BF3.

Theres 2 release dates for this beast May 3rd and the 7th. Are the ones that are going to be released on the 3rd the limited edition one. The one with wooden box and crowbar?

edit: My guess is the limited edition ones will release on the 3rd then when those are gone the manufacturers will release theirs on the 7th.

Are all the 690's going be like the one in the pic or all vendors going to have their own flavor and tweeks?

May 3rd is NDA lift. That is when reviews will be out. Sounds like May 7th may be retail availability. Kinda like with Ivy Bridge.

Yes, this is what it will be.

Reviews will be out on 3rd May. According to my local source, a very small quantity of cards will be released to the retail market as well. But 7th May is the date for a larger quantity of cards become available to the general public.

And, that wooden crate with crowbar version of GTX680 is supposedly for reviewers only. It bears no name of a particular manufacturer and it goes directly from Nvidia to the reviewers.
As usual, each vendor (eg Asus, EVGA...etc) will have their own packaging design.

Gorgeous, simply gorgeous. This is the most beautiful VGA to date IMO. 3 DVI this is just lovelly no micro stuttering from mixed connections, wow NVIDIA nice job there. Very big fan for the overal design, short PCB this card will be heaven for those of you guys with 120hz monitors. But, despite the lovelly 3 DVI feature I can see this card losing really a lot of value (a little more than previous generation dual GPUs) when GK110 does launch (presuming there will be more than 2gb on that thing...) If it starts at $1000 I can see it falling to $500 as soon as GK110 hit the shelves. They cannot push any higher the single top GPU price... come on we're comming close to the $600 mark for a single GPU!

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed. For $1000, you'd think they would have a nice backplate.
