Need help with screen capture software

Thread Starter
Hi Guys,

I've been having some trouble getting quality screenshots of games on my pc. I used fraps and tried saving them in different formats, but they all look dark, a bit dithered like a bad lcd tv image. Pretty much lousy and don't reflect the quality of the image I'm actually seeing.

If i hit print screen key and then paste into ms pain that shows the complete quality image, what I'm looking to be able to get in terms of quality. Any ideas?

I've owned fraps for years (without problems redownloading, win for fraps licensing system biggrin.gif ) and my screenshots have always came out fine. They don't look any different from shots I take with other software too. What settings are you using in fraps?

There's another way to take screenshots. Just press "print screen" on your keyboard, then go to Microsoft Paint and crop the edges. The quality will be the same as the image you are trying to save.
