Why it's difficult to take BF3 seriously

http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/forum/threadview/2832654489713373877/

The above link is of a thread on the Battlelog forums, long story short - it's video footage of an individual being accused of hacking, which is clearly not true. The twist is, the accuser is the one who is cheating, and uses hacks to gain the upper hand on the individual he accused.

Now and again, i come across similar threads such as this. A person posts video proof of an individual blatantly hacking, calling him out. Such a thread gets alot of attention, people "report" and nothing comes of it.

Heck, even the accused hacker joins the thread to boast - knowing full well that EA won't touch him.

This is why i'm finding it quite difficult to take this game seriously anymore. EA are letting it slip down the crapper because they're simply turning a blind eye to clear cheaters.

Anyone else feel like that just can't take this game seriously anymore?

I had a hacker tell me this: "I am a 2nd Regiment Lieutenant in the SAS. That's how I can shoot you while I'm climbing a ladder."

He has since been banned.

Just report, set a beacon in BetterBattlelog so you never have to see him in game again, and move on.
But are EA any worse for banning people than IW? Many MW3 game types are practically unplayable for the amount of hackers, Ground War I find is the worst.
There always be hackers in any fps game, always have bin.

That's why taking the matter into your own hands as an admin is better. May not solve for the whole community, but surely cleans your server. Take control of things at the local level.

It sucks, yeah.

But it's not the only reason I can't take BF3 seriously.
