bumping with my new skin...

just whipped this skin up over the last few days. going for the minimalistic approach, as well as seeing if a dynamic desktop is possible. No icons or links on the main desktop, just the glorious FLCL wallpaper. If you mouseover Naota, the vector image I made appears (uses the button meter) and when clicked it makes the button taskbar as I like to call it, appear. click again and it goes away. the FLCL in the bottom right links to different things as well, L for LoL, C for the C: drive. don't have a use for the other 2 yet, but this is still a work in progress. Please give any feedback, and suggestions for other things I can try to make. was thinking of making one of the letters pull up a window with all of my stats (net up/down, disk space, etc) but I feel like it might take away from that minimal feel.

my first try at rainmeter. I just wanted a all-in-one gadget to replace my win 7 gadgets.
I tried adding a OCN background but it just never looked right or it interfered with my readings
fyi, this sets in the top right corner of my 2cd monitor

My current setup. Spent a few days tinkering with this to get it just how I want it. Am looking for ideas to add to it though.
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

I even made pseudo docks for myself with it. Prefer them to the old way I was doing things.

Need help figuring out the proper parameters to pass to restart and power off buttons I've made for myself in rainmeter.
Code:
;Launcher 2

[MeterLaunch2Image]
Meter=Image
ImageName=#@#Images\Restart.png
X=0
Y=50r
W=45
H=45
AntiAlias=1
LeftMouseUpAction=[shutdown.exe -r]
ToolTipTitle=Restart
ToolTipType=1
ToolTipText=Click to restart.

;Launcher 3

[MeterLaunch3Image]
Meter=Image
ImageName=#@#Images\Shut Down.png
X=0
Y=50r
W=45
H=45
AntiAlias=1
LeftMouseUpAction=[shutdown.exe -s -t 10]
RightMouseUpAction=[shutdown.exe -a]
ToolTipTitle=Shutdown
ToolTipType=1
ToolTipText=Click to shutdown.#CRLF#Right click to abort.

Neither one lets the updates apply as they normally do when they are highlighted on the shutdown button on the start menu. They just restart / power off respectively. What is the adjustment to make it act exactly like the start menu shutdown buttons.

According to this (http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/rtrent/archive/2009/08/28/shutdown-exe-switches.aspx) I'm doing it right already but for some reason it doesn't do the updates like it normally does when going through the start menu itself.

Have you tried shutdown.exe /s /g /t 10 and shutdown.exe /r /g?
