GTX 560 SE any good?

Thread Starter
I was looking for a new GPU to play BF3, and I found this really cheap GTX 560 SE version...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130770&SortField=0&SummaryType=0&PageSize=10&SelectedRating=-1&VideoOnlyMark=False&IsFeedbackTab=true#scrollFullInfo

According to the feedback the "SE" version is slightly slower than the original GTX 560 version, but it is almost $50+ lower!

What I want to know is...
1. is the SE version able to handle BF3 Medium/High settings @ 1920x1080 @ 60fps?
2. will a cheap 600w power supply (its got like 3 12v rails with 18 amps on the first 2 and 15 amps on the third) able to handle this card?
3. how is the performance compared to the GTX 460, which is similarly priced?

I posted another thread asking for opinions on which GPU to get for bf3...and most people recommended the GTX 560...but I want to know if the SE version performs similar.

I'm on a low budget so if anyone knows a good GPU around $150 that can handle Bf3 @ 1080p that would be great.

None of the cards listed will handle BF3 at the resolution and performance level you have listed. My best suggestion for a budget card right now is the GTX 480 for $209 shipped, a few bucks over budget but if you wait a little (hopefully the stick around) and save a few extra bucks it is well worth it.

EDIT: EErr...just seen your power supply, that would be cutting it really close with a GTX 480 so I wouldn't go that route. For the $150 budget I would say the AMD 6850, right about $150 and will be a big step above what you have. But you will not see 60 fps on BF on medium high settings.

Depends. Do you plan on using any anti-aliasing or ambient occlusion? Those will give the highest FPS hits

Nope. FPS has priority, so if I have to lower graphics to get 60FPS i'll do it.

Yeah that's why I am trying to get a lower end GPU than the GTX 480, because I'll have to upgrade my PSU.

The AMD 6850 is about as good as it is going to get.

GTX 460 1GB (not SE), can do everything Ultra with no AA or Ambient Occlusion @ 1920 x 1080
I play at those settings myself with the FXAA Injector, but the ingame Post-Processing AA works as well.

If you can snag one for under $120, then you're good. Look on craigslist or in the OCN marketplace, they were going for $100 a while back.

Will the Radeon 6850 1GB be able to do perform the same considering it is slightly faster?
