It's pretty impossible to do in real life with all the gear on as well.. but I've learned to not rely on windows because of that, so you should as well(so as to not get frustrated with the game).

I don't know what your trying to vault over but I barely run into that problem. Not saying it doesn't happen...

Dying by jumping into the water, especially on Seine Crossing, is because you spread out right before hitting the water so you belly-flop into the water from about 10-12 meters up. And yes, getting caught on things that you should be easily able to step over is so annoying, and is present in every single map.

Unfortunately with BF3 they were trying to keep the game semi-realistic. So on those off chances you don't receive damage from a 2-3 story drop consider yourself lucky. Anything above 3 and you should be fine, the parachute will deploy and you will have enough time to hold back so as to not take any damage.

As for the things you should easily be able to step over. Stairsteps are about the only things that seem to occasionally (and by occasionally I mean super rare) stop me.

Basically what the arguments against episodic releases (like the SC2 campaigns, or the multiple map+weapon-packs for BF3, etc.) boils down to is people wanting (for some unknown reason) for everything to be released at once rather than piece by piece. If you'd rather buy it all at once, then by all means, nobody is stopping you from waiting until they are all released to then buy them all at the same time. It literally won't change anything from the way they're coming out. It's not like DICE decided to just hold back the other 3 map+weapon-packs they're releasing for the sake of having split releases...

Prior to CoD, expansions would come in rather large packs(Maybe this was before your time), not in these 2-3maps like it is happening. OH and also it would only cost $30, versus the $60+ we will be paying by the time they finish all their packs. THANKS COD...damn a**holes. So If you enjoy wasting money by all means keep supporting this type of small DLC shenanigans. Basically we are paying more for getting less like this.

Though to be honest it seems as though you have many more problems with this game than you have fun in it. I'm not a dice fanboy by any means, but sometimes I think frustrations seem to get the better of people and they only remember the worst that happens during the playtime. Really as long as you have more than 50 hours into this game you should know the spots you can and can't jump/vault/run over or through, SO JUST AVOID THEM and have a great gaming experience.

I actually knew this since before the game actually released due to details released by DICE, but for some reason I completely forgot till a few days ago.
-The increased danger keeps people closer and medics/engis become your best friends due to no auto heal/repair.
-Suppression really works too. If people cant get a clear shot, they wont risk trying to stand in front of your fire to try and get a quick one in. This allows your team mates to move up feeling safer.
-Tanks gain god like strength, but are still vulnerable.
-No "shoot over here" 3D spot markers.
Hardcore-team deathmatch >>> Normal mode-conquest (imo). Simply because people slow down and stick together a lot more.
I don't know, it just seems like the tactical and teamwork elements of the game show themselves much more in hardcore games. Mostly because having the extra people around you makes much more of a difference.
I wish they didn't call it "hardcore" though. If anything, stat wise and gameplay wise, "hardcore" mode is actually closer to the traditional Battlefields than normal mode is.

I agree with everything you said, except I prefer Hardcore conquest to hardcore deathmatch

I don't understand the displeasure of Origin.
If it is "bad" at all.. it is just as "bad" as steam is.
Also, battlelog.. why do you hate this so much? Yeah, the game has to load in and out between different servers, but this is not a console people! There is not cross-platform gameplay.
If there was, then I could totally understand your frustration. I find nothing wrong with the implementation. Every little bit of information that I need is readily available. And you know what COD'ers?
I dont have to pay a monthly fee. The only thing that might be nice to add is heat maps but I don't find it as a necessary thing.
I'm 100% for BF3. Is it perfect? No. But honestly.. I'd like to see the complainers do better. Call me when you do, I'd love to play your game.

You'll never win when dealing with PC gamers. xD They'll take all that they can and will never be satisfied.

DICE has done a great job with BF3 despite what anyone says. The people that complain are grasping onto problems that aren't even that big of deal or non-existent. I'm sure most of them play the game anyway.. tongue.gif

well, tis always better to publish the games yourself, if possible, like Rebellion did with Sniper Elite V2. For one thing, it has native in-game VOIP, and dedicated servers within the game itself, not outside in a browser.

Tis, more games need to be self-published or at least published by non-dickish publishers. Yes there's less money budget-wise, but it is possible to make a fine game, and even better when you have total control over it.

I could have told you that this game was not ready for release from my alpha and beta experiences with it. Which is exactly why I did not purchase it on release and am very glad I did not.

If Battlelog worked well I would have no problem with it. I just don't like the fact that I always have a problem whenever I try to play BF3. I also would have preferred voice chat to be in game, and server browsing too. And it would be nice if I could change my settings when I'm dead, if I'm shot down while changing my settings it automatically kicks me out of the settings menu and to the spawn menu. Me no likey.

Other than that BF3 is a quality game. I just suck at it and Battlelog has some quirks.

As for Origin, I don't have a problem with it. It's missing some nice features, but it serves it's purpose.

I would like to see it have an option to either join a squad and team party chat with the ability to set two different key bindings (or one voice and one key) and have it default to ON and switchable from the game pause menu. They CAN do this and I think it would help the game.
