Get off the hit detection, find a server that does not allow the MASS and dart combo and have fun. That's what games are for last time I checked.
Battlefield games have never been perfect.
BF2 took about four years to have the famously unbalanced jets...balanced. Then there was the bunny hopping/dolphin diving that wasn't addressed for a long time. Grenade spam is still rife to this day. There were blatantly overpowered unlockable weapons. The commander basically spammed the message box (and your earhole) with messages every half a second.
BF2142 was more balanced, but still had its own problems.
Bad Company 2s server browser didn't even work the first time around. It was DICE's first time adding so many weapons to each class and the muititude of their patching concerned weapon balancing. They gave us free maps though.
Battlefield 3, easily THE most complicated Battlefield game they've ever developed and guess what? It has bugs, it has things that needs to be tweaked and patched. Such has been the case for basically every Battlefield, ever, let alone the most ambitions and complicated one yet.
What is worse in relation to how people are reacting, is that DICE has never shown as much dedication and constant support for a Battlefield game in their whole history as they have for Battlefield 3. Remember, it took four years for DICE to finally decide they were ready to patch things in BF2 that people were complaining about since day one.
Sure the game isn't perfect, but it was never going to be. If DICE were behaving how they were 5-6 years ago, I'd be worried, but so far they've been at least trying a lot more than they have in the past and they haven't yet stopped trying.
