28nm GPU Question

Hey guys, Had a quick question about the AMD/ATI 28nm GPU's that are out right now.

I am at a bit of a dilemma right now with a Gaming Rig I've been planning out. I've been switching back and forth between CPU's and Mobo's, but now that I have them set, this is where I run into my dilemma.

With the Mobo I have picked out,ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard, it has 2 PCI-E x16 3.0 slot's on it. these slots are only enabled to PCI-E x16 3.0 slot's when I have an IB CPU in LGA1155 slot. Otherwise, with SB, the 2 slot's drop down to PCI-E x16 2.0. Now with the new 28nm GPU's from AMD, they all run on PCI-E x16 3.0. The CPU I plan on getting is a i5-2500K SB.

I was wondering if I were to go with a 7xxx series GPU, would it have any major affects to gaming ( BF3 ). Or if I would be better off going for say a HD6970 or so. Plus, if having a non-28nm GPU would be that much of a difference performance wise.

It will be fine, PCI 2.0 x16 isn't going to bottleneck any cards you'll toss in there now.
If you haven't bought your board yet it might not be a bad idea to get a Z77 since they're out now.

OKay. So would you guys say I could be better off going for a HD6970, or an HD7870?, because in some way the 6970 beats the 7870.
