oh lol my bad. the power phase can be cooled good enough with a good airflow case. also the airflow coming from the fan on your heatsink if you have a 120mm tower will also cool it enough

Yes I did order the Neo Eco biggrin.gif and thats a good point about the heatsink fan being able to cool it I will keep that in mind for sure, is there a way to see the temp of my power phase?

nope, but if you have a digital multimeter with a temp probe you can. but if its not burning hot to the touch its fine.

Ok thats good to know that should be a sufficient method of checking the temp smile.gif Better case air flow is good anyway so its a win win in my book for a 6 dollar fan. Thank you so much for the input very helpful!

I think this is what you mean right xaoh?
509
and yeah that should actually be alright to keep the vrms cool, especially in
conjunction if you get a heatsink for the cpu which will be blowing air out of the rear.
Like sparky said, as long as they aren't ridiculously hot to the touch you should be ok.
You are running an athlon II x2 so your board should be ok with that kind of cooling.

update your rig so i know what you got in =]
also, start off by reading the 2 guides that were posted
and make sure you fully comprehend them.
report back here for any questions you may have.
don't short change yourself by just following
instructions methodically but not comprehensively thumb.gif

Yeah. start slowly - go stagewise. In fact I recommend testing your components at stock so you know you have good hardware to begin with. Run a memtest86+ and a prime95 (or equivalent) to start off with.

Ok so I did lose the links since I reinstalled but started slowly this morning, so far I have it up to 3.5ghz (242) and stable, doesnt go above 41C on full load, tested with prime 95 and everest (aida64 or w/e) for 6 hours. Is that sounding decent so far?

Only have a couple questions, my voltage only lets me go up in increments of 50v from 0 to 150 so since I can only go up to 150 max is that going to limit my overclocking potential? And second is an obvious question, my HT Link is 2400 ive read some things that say thats fine and some that say as close to 2000 as you can get, tried changing that in bios but it did nothing.

How do I link a little picture of my CPUID in here like I see everyone else doing? Thanks.
