you can revisit the links by looking through the pages of this thread where they were posted.Originally Posted by Xaoh

Only have a couple questions, my voltage only lets me go up in increments of 50v from 0 to 150 so since I can only go up to 150 max is that going to limit my overclocking potential? And second is an obvious question, my HT Link is 2400 ive read some things that say thats fine and some that say as close to 2000 as you can get, tried changing that in bios but it did nothing.
How do I link a little picture of my CPUID in here like I see everyone else doing? Thanks.

your OC sounds good so far did you get aftermarket cooling or is that on the stock heatsink?
as you overclock higher your cpu will require more volts. 150mv = .15 volts over stock.
As long as the OC you are aiming for does not require more than stock+0.15v then you are good.
You will know if it requires more voltage if you BSOD while stress testing.
If your HT Link is stable at 2400Mhz it is not a problem but closer to 2000 will help with stability.
Your bios may also not reflect the changes, use cpu-z to check your ht-link frequency.
"WindowsKey+PauseBreak" will copy your whole desktop and then just paste it into paint.
That will allow us to see your entire setup.
Make sure you look back through the thread and read both of those links we posted and
you FULLY comprehend them. Don't short change yourself the learning process!

That's a pretty decent OC (2.9 -> 3.5) - I think I got something similar with my X4 620 - 2.6 to 3.25
