Dailup gains latency when in use. Make sure nothing is useing your internet when you play, and if your on wireless get a 10/100

Yes, but make sure you uninstall the old drivers before you install the new ones. Then over clock. But tuby is right, its most likely your slow dialup thats causing most of the lag. And no overclock can fix that... Perhaps you could try and reconsider switching to DSL or cable. It is getting very chaep and availible everywhere. cheack the prices, i bet it would be around $30-35/month for dsl.

EDIT: My post was just owned by your previous...LOL

That sux man!

Install the drivers, then install coolbits. Coolbits shouldnt take very long on dial-up, its only a registry tweak. Also, I understand being in the middle of nowhere, and if this is the case, there is unfortunatly very little you can do to remedy the problem. No matter what hardware you have, with a bottleneck like a 56k modem, you will not be happy with your performance in online games.

OK,Uninstall them drivers again ( i hope you saved the new drivers) ANd restart, then get abck into windows, and everything should be default colors and resolution. Download a program called river cleaner pro. Run this then restart. Then when you get back into windows. Install the new drivers and all should be working well.
