Do I upgrade to IvyBridge?

Thread Starter
I'm currrently running a 2500K at 5Ghz stable and at decent temps. biggrin.gif
I was wondering is it worth upgrading to Ivybridge or shouldnt i bother yet?
Had this setup for a while now and starting to think about changing it again, but not sure if its worth it. wink.gif
Not sure if i want to change my Mobo yet, so really not sure if its worth going to Ivy yet untill i want to do a new build.
Let me know what you think! thumb.gif
hopefully good...

No. It runs too hot. You're not going to get anywhere near 5ghz, so the slight IPC improvement doesn't matter because it's going to clock a lot lower.

I would say no need for it. Unless you are bored and want an Ivy to tinker with. wink.gif You have a very good chip and overclock.
