Recommended 27" monitor for my needs please

Hello, recently i bought a samsung s27a950d for a mix of gaming and general browsing whilst keeping my hp l24w or what was the model number for work (photo editing , some designing).

Anyway the resolution on this monitor truly sucks overall and other than gaming it's a bit of a pain.

I would like to pick a 27 ips monitor and probably end up selling my hp.

I've seen the korean models and i'm feeling tempted to buy one, but there are so many models, which one would be the best if there is such a thing amongst these models?

I don't want one with antiglare, i like the looks of the Achieva white one since it matches my desk and my case and well overall my apple stuff, it seems like it has no tampered glass (good i guess right?) but at the same time it only has one connection.

Are there better options than this one?

Biggest drawback of the achieva white one seems to be the stand, tough choice hehe.

Thank you very much in advance, tried reading around but couldn't quite see a battle of korean monitors to make up my mind.

Cheers

Hehe looks like i can't edit my posts frown.gif, anyway looks like all but one only have a dvi connection so i guess the white one would be as good as any other.

The non tempered glass models just have the lcd screen with no protection right ? somehow it looks like a good thing to me due to having had dust particles in the inside of my imac before hehe.

And the hp one was my favorite model for a long time, the one i regret buying is the samsung frown.gif, ah well i knew it would be a silly purchase at the time, but wanted to squeeze some extra fluidity in the games i was playing hehe.

Cheers

Well I wouldn't really buy something for looks as you aren't going to be looking at the border of the monitor while you game.

On the tempered glass version : The tempered glass is just an extra sheet of glass on top of the LCD to protect it, but the downside to it is that sometimes dust can get in it.

Thanks for the information smile.gif, i will use it mostly to work nowadays.

I mean if the Achieva is as good as the crossover etc then the fact it's white and would look nice in my studio is a bonus hehe.

Only thing that looks shady is the stand, then again it seems shady on all except the crossover.

Much appreciated for your help.

There's a model of the Achieva Shimian that has multiple input ports (HDMI, VGA, etc.) the IPSMS model, it's $500 though.

Performance-wise, all those Korean Monitors use the same panel. I have the Achieva Shimian IPSBS Version, the stand is okay, the monitor wobbles a bit, when I hit the desk hard the monitor wobbles a bit, but not that much. I was going to get a White version but it costs $70 dollars more than the black version, I don't know why though.
