Hey guys, so im looking to put together somesort of expandable raid array, so i can add hard drives over time (i believe software raid was a good choice for that?) but i was wondering what sort of raid card would be good for that?
I was looking to get 2 cards (or be able to support... mmm i guess 8 or so HDDs) hopping to spend about $100 a card but i think i should be able to get up to $200 if need be.

But havent been on ebay for years so dont know too much about pricing. hmmm currently i have 3 hdds (thinking of getting a 4th soon) which i was planning of using, so 3 or more wont be a problem. Probably in the long run i was going to add 1.. maybe 2 hdds every 6 or so months.
