ivy is perfect for someone who have an old rig to update nothing more i had a 2600k before and i go to 3820 not ivy . ivy has some gadget feature that are useless pretty much . for the major part .

Not all chips will get to 5GHz and if your one doesn't deal with it, its only going to be a few hundred megahertz off which makes no difference in real life. Personally I wouldn't buy a Ivy CPU just now in a few months I would but not now.

Ivy is a good processor is has improved in its efficiency and runs cooler at stock which is good for laptop users.
