should I buy asus transformer prime? (worried about wifi issue)

Thread Starter
I want to buy tablet I read and watch a lot of reviews.
I like asus transformer prime, but after wifi issue I disappointed .
do you think ASUS fix WIFI issue by new update ? or it's hardware problem and they can't fix it ?

I limited my choices:

1/ asus transformer prime(WIFI, GPS)
2/ ipad2
3/ipad3 (overheat)

The maximum budget : 500 $

or should I wait?
can you suggest for me tablet.
tanks.

iPad 3 is a better tablet than Asus Transformer prime all things considered.
It sports the best screen in the tablet market by far (both by color reproduction, and resolution). Its OS is better optimized, more fluid and with generally better apps (though also less customization).

The overheat is really not an issue; it doesn't get even close to hot. The hottest I've seen it is just slightly warmer than your body's internal temperature (40*C) and that was after 2hrs of gaming at the hottest point of the device. Usually the device does not break 32*C under daily use.

In comparison, the Transformer prime's peak temperature is 38*C, which is very very close to the iPad 3's peak temperature (40*C), so it's really not an issue for either device.

I believe the transformer suffers from bad wifi/gps reception because there is a strip of metal right over the antenna. The next gen Transformer which should be called the Infinity 700, will fix this issue, and come with a 1920x1200 screen. The Infinity should come Q2 or so though, so you would have to wait.

If you like IOS, then go for the iPad.
