MSI GeForce GTX 560 Ti Hawk

Is the Hawk version of MSI's GeForce GTX 560 Ti the best among all their 560 Ti? There are a handful of 560 Ti's in their site and I'm confused which one is the best since others have higher GDDR5 memory but lower Core Clock speed than the Hawk.

Hawk is essentially the bees' knees in terms of 560's from MSI. Non-reference PCB's and the whole shebang.

It has a different circuit design to accommodate more voltage regulation modules. This should improve it's overclocking abilities when compared to a normal GTX 560 Ti. But under high load the cooling solution on the Hawk is more noisy when compared to a "Twin frozr II" or reference model. With the current games/applications, you only need + 1 Gb of memory when using a multiple monitor setup or you're using a very high resolution (e.g. 2600 x 1600)

Gotcha, thanks smile.gif

Regarding updating the BIOS of the card, where can I get the files needed for this?

Try the MSI Live Update tool (can be found here)

That doesn't work, I just tried it a few hours ago.
