[OCUK] GTX 660 Ti still 6 months away...

Despite rumours about GTX 660 Ti being released simultaneously with the GTX 670, it seems that retailers only have the GTX670 in stock and the GTX660 Ti is still many months away.

GTX660 Ti still 6 months away, as owner/manager (?) of OCUK shop has pointed out.

Why so long, jeez. Nvidia might have the performance crown, but they don't have new hardware to fit the budget of the average pc gamer (IE the market). AMD +1.

If the 660 TI is based on GK104 then i can't see this being the case.

In a situation like that, lower end models serve to fill different market brackets and to utilize semi-defective dies, i just don't see nVidia holding on to defective dies for 6+ month instead of making a SKU with them and making money on that. Dies laying at warehouse are losing them money if anything, cause they have money tied up on them plus storing costs.

Well, the 560 Ti was a nice improvement in power consumption with the GF114 compared to the GF110 that the 580 and 570 had so the 660 Ti is probably going to be the same.
