I know its old now but i just bought it recently and i really got into it but as i mentioned...its crash happy specially when i Alt - Tab from it, I searched the forums and tried the Vista SP2 compatibility fix which didn't help much...all my drivers are up to date and i am using the latest none-beta drivers from Nvidia

Any suggestions?

Regards

I've played Darksiders for just over 30 hours in total time and haven't had any serious crashing issues - but I've come across issues of texture flickering due to me Alt+Tab'ing out of the game. My advise is to avoid doing that and you should be fine; this is assuming that the vast majority of your crashes come from Alt+Tab'ing, otherwise I can't think of anything else.

Do you have the Steam version? (Is there a version that's not Steam?)

I got it on Steam during the Holiday sale December of '10 and beat it (played like 18 hours) and don't remember any crashes. Try reverting any overclocks on your hardware to see if that does anything - about the only thing I can think of if drivers are up to date. Also maybe try setting your audio settings in Control Panel to lower settings if they aren't already (try setting to 16bit, 44100 Hz):

^Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, I did have a time where the game didn't like an unstable OC I was trying out with my CPU and RAM, so I stopped with that and everything was fine afterwards.

But my CPU is 100% stable and my GPU is OC at all...oh..i forgot to mention, i forced AA and AF in Nvidia's Darksiders profile, could that be the reason?

Try un-forcing it and see wink.gif
Crashes are always tricky as the cause is usually never the same across different systems.

I will try that and see but i hope its not the reason, the game looks much better with AA/AF on frown.gif
