What started out as a competition between Madengineer and I are going to pit the FX-6100I, morphed into a comparison of as many Phenom II models that we could find vs the PhenomFX lineup. After interest by more than a few people about Athlon II x4 955 against each otherand the APU lineup being included I've decided to see how they fare.open it up to those as well. Since the i5-2500K and i3-21xx series are the most often mentioned CPU's when comparing AMD CPU's I added those as well as a "baseline" comparison. I still need complete results for both. If someone feels like running all of the benchmarks (with cpu-z tabs etc) on the i5-3570K I would be more than happy to add that to the list as well.

RAM is limited and must be set to 1600 (unless only lower speeds are supported by your MB or CPU) with default timings (11,11,11,28 1T) ADATA S510 120GB SSD HD 5870 (we'lltimings. BenchmarksRound Two will be where we unleash the dogs of overclocking and everyone can post their best results at whatever settings they want to Post Listuse while remaining stable. At this point we'll be looking at the best expected performance for each CPU that someone can reasonably expect to see (give or take depending on the fab quality of the chip). Remember this is an informational list not a competition so please make sure your OC's are stable. We will require a minimum of 20 runs on Intel Burn Test (IBT) to show a minimum level of stability. Alternatively you can substitute IBT with a minimum 4 hours of prime95 passed.

That should be noted while comparing that result as it can affect the rest of the system performance. (for example the 1055T results) For a result to be considered a "win" it must be higher than the next lowest score by 1% or greater. All results with less than 1% difference between them will be considered a "tie".

Round 2 is now open Round 2 results must be accompanied by a screenshot showing a minimum of 20 runs in IBT or minimum of 4 hours passed in Prime95, along with 2 CPU-Z's showing CPU and MEM tabs (as always) as a quick test of stability. The whole point of this round is max STABLE OC so please police yourselves so we don't have to run 12+ hour prime95 runs to prove it's rock solid. We can always revisit that decision if we get a hint that people are fudging the results. This is an informational thread, not a contest so let's keep it honest. The benchmarks are the same as round one and will of course need to be shown in a screenshot with the required 2 CPU-Z tabs showing. Please list what GPU setup you're using so we can determine if it's feasible to do a "Round 3" with gaming results, and how we can accomplish that.
