:lachen.gif: Man..I think this thread is really nice..now..that it's matured :thumb.gif:
You can see the strong and weak points of a variety of CPUs..very informative :yessir.gif: teaching.gif

I know, but more than one poster has no rig sig.

That's what I mainly wanted with this thread. To cut through the BS and the fanboyism and let's see how each CPU fares (whether good, bad or indifferent). I would add the 2600K but I'm trying to keep within the price range of 8150 and below. Likewise adding ALL intel cpus would just make the list difficult to maintain. So I think a fair representation would be an SB i3 and the 2500k (there are numerous threads comparing those to the rest of the pack).

I'd like to see those 2 as well :yessir.gif the 2500K gets really high IPC score...but i bet there's somewhere it's lacking,too...biggrin.gif

Look at the first post in the thread where the charts are. The few benches we have done for the 2500K are there. It's not such the "monster" that fanboys make it out to be. Don't get me wrong. It's an excellent CPU but it doesn't "crush" the 8120/8150. Really it's BIG win is the power consumption it pulls off that performance with.

I would like to see an i3 also... hopefully it justifies my decision to go with a 4100... if not, I am happy with this thing anyway! thumb.gif

I beg to differ

Moat people on here are gamers and don't spend all day running synthetic benchmarks.

in that case I doubt I would notice a difference - a few framerates here or there is not noticeable.

Arma 2 minimum fps

FX-8150 - 4fps
2500k - 42fps

You would not notice that?

It's in the multi-gpu article I linked to yes.
