Epic AMD CPU Grudge Match....AMD Slug It Out-orama 2012!! - Page 7

after OC'ing my 960T to 4.0 or 4.1 , best performance between is 3.8 and 4.0 THIS IS MY OPINION GUYS smile.gif , I tested 3.8 in FSX and also 4.0 in FSX and 4.1 in FSX the difference my guess was just a couple of fps BUT HEY GUYS THAT WAS DURING THE INITIAL TEST SO HAVE NOT DONE ANYMORE TESTING EXCEPT RUN PCMARK05 and Wprime with 5 cores and everything on stock for a member Aniket as he wanted some benchies of the 960T. You guys need to find the G spot.

I have seen so many posts like every member here who wants to OC the system but do any of us OC the system where it is giving a good result.

I am trying to figure the correct performance ratio for the OC. I feel 3.8 geez till 4.0 geez gives a very nice performance and no NB overclock. will try again with NB later.

I would have loved to put up my system for benching along with the FX and the other phenom but would probably do that once I have achieved a satisfying clock

Please make sure that you have two CPU-Z instances running when you post a result. One showing CPU tab, and the other showing Memory tab.

have a look at these apps and consider them for your use..

x264 benchmark should also be a good one. (check if binary is FMA enabled.)

I'll keep those on the list but please give me a list of programs you think should be run as well. Also post a link to them so everyone can download the benchmarks you recommend.

I'm compiling the few posted (confirmed at 4GHz default settings) results in so far into excel. I'll start posting a chart or graph in the first post int he thread so everyone knows what benches we're looking at right now (we'll add more if there are good ones nominated with a download link for everyone to use).

Okay, I've finished making the results section in the first post. Hit me with your results. What happened to Madengineer?

I've got some 4.3ghz results, I'll chuck them up to get them out of the way now, then i'll do some more testing over the weekend.
