I have no problem helping people that isn't trying to beat the system. Example of that would be;

* My cpu doesn't overclock good enough for me. I want to return it
* My gpu doesn't overclock good as yours, I'm returning it.
* My warranty is almost up, I'm going to burn it up and get replacement before the warranty is gone.

No, I will not help people like this. This guy made a purchase mistake. We call this a impulse buy, I've done it, you've done. He hasn't opened it or abused it. He realized he made a mistake and admitted he did so. Most in here will not even take that part of the blame. They tend to blame it on others that made him/her believe they had to have it. We are here to help and do the right thing and help when we can. Thanks

Truer words have never been spoken. And thanks all you guys for your help. Newegg is a legit company! I have heard a lot of horror stories with them, but this is pretty solid of them.

wasnt posting it to be an ass it was more along the line to it being nice to see everyone helping out when the guy had an actual mistaking instead of trying to place blame.

Can you call Newegg and tell them you got the CPU as a gift and your relatives didn't realise you already had a CPU. thumb.gif

Yeah, I think I am just gonna get an h100 for ease of use and call it good. Are you using a push pull setup(4 fans) on there or just the standard 2?
post #39 of 66
I use 2 AP-15's with my H100, the stock fans are too loud. I can run my AP-15's at 100% and they are quiet.

My idle temps at 4.8ghz are about 26c across all cores and 58c under load in intel burn in. Its a great cooler! I need 1.392v - 1.408v under load for 4.8ghz stable but i think thats my chip. 4.6ghz vs 4.8ghz no difference in performance really but nice to do it anyway

is the ivy bridge really no good compared to the Sandybridge? I have an i5 2500k and was wondering this myself. Im guessing its not worth it. Best to skip Ivy and wait for next gen, atleast it saves us all money and we have had loads of use out of sandybridge already! Got to feel sorry for those who were holding off sandy for Ivy...they could have just had awsome performance from the beginning rolleyes.gif
