Thread Starter
Hey all, i have noticed a thread with the above components and decided i like it so im going to get it, i was just wondering is that bored able to use 2x 680s or 2x7970s effectively because i thought i read they will run at x 8 speeds? im new to all the pcie speeds etc so a bit of info would be great, also is there a better mobo to go with?

Yes, two gpus will run with 8x each but it's PCIE 3.0 which is twice as fast as 2.0. You wouldn't benefit with more than 8x so all ok.

Even if it was pcie2.0 @ 8x you wouldn't notice any difference. So you are more than good with pcie3.0.
