[Bloomberg] Why There Are No Bosses At Valve - Page 3

I would love to work at Valve when I'm done becoming a graphics modeller. (Don't really know what they're called in English, but the people that make the actual graphics.)

Reason #1 why Valve's employees are so efficient.

Unlimited chocolate snack bar.

If it's as "free" as implied, this is why it takes so long to get a new game out that doesn't involving purchasing someone else's game or milking mediocre franchises with a game engine that hasn't been notably (this may be subjective) visually updated in years.

The money they rake in from overcharging on Steam gives them a lot of leeway, too.

Unlimited chocolate snack bar.

The snack bar is probably there because the employees basically live at work. tongue.gif

So do you say the same thing about Blizzard?

I don't play any Blizzard games, so I have no experience with them. You'll have to find a fanboy of Blizzard to find someone like yourself to give you the fodder you're looking for.

I love Valve even more now.

But what the frack.

7,000 calorie cookie?

How is that possible? It was a decently sized cookie, not a giant one. I've had one that was like 30% bigger than that one and it was only 300 calories. That pink frosting must be the craziest sugar ever!
