[Project] Watercooled Desk

Thread Starter
Sorry, no cool project name smile.gif

I know it has been done before, but I am taking a shot at making a watercooled desk

First day progress:
IMG_0272.jpg
IMG_0273.jpg
Lid attached on hinges
IMG_0281-1.jpg
Test fitting
IMG_0295.jpg
IMG_0296.jpg
IMG_0297.jpg

Everything fit really nicely, I might turn the radiator around. Trying to find a Dual 5.25 bezel to go around the reservoir, to cover up the crappy jigsaw cut I made smile.gif.

All the fans and fan grills have been test fitted and mounted. Everything is currently disassembled, and will be sanded and painted soon. Going to order the glass soon as well. Also contemplating switching the EK Spin res to a FrozenQ Dual res.

Thats all for now smile.gif

Figured I would update the thread with the fan grill pictures

IMG_0320.jpg
You can also see the power button goes.
IMG_0316.jpg

I know that all three grills don't line up, but I'm not going for perfection here. Plus, I have never done wood working tongue.gif

looks pretty good, are you thinking about painting the desk when you are done or adding some acrylic panels to it? i think that would be awesome for just looking and seeing your fill levels also.

I am going to be painting it, and having a glass top, so I can see the motherboard, and also see the reservoir!
Nice! what color you going to paint? it looks like you got a red/black theme in mind cause of the fans.

just noticed this also, it looks like your back I/O panel is going to be only accessible from the inside of your desk, any particular reason for this?

The theme is going to be blue and black, I will be painting the fan blades. The motherboard I/O will only be accessed through the desk, but I have split the back lid so I can access that part easily if need be
