An Overview of Mouse Technology - Page 2

Sticky please!!

Does anyone know btw, if a USB 2.0 device in native usb 3.0 port + native drivers will work with usb 3.0 specs? Like, being completely interrupt based, no polling? It should work with the usb 2.0 speeds.. but I wonder about the other specs, will they be usb 3.0 or usb 2.0?

A usb 2.0 mouse plugged into a usb 3.0 port will work like a usb 2.0 mouse.

USB 3.0 implementation in mice isn't going to happen any time soon, but it will come eventually. (Not going into why)

Edit: I believe mice will still be polled regardless. I don't have enough information at this point.

Shameless bump... and also because I slightly re-adjusted section 17 recently (Windows Sensitivity Settings) to include a short but concise look at ones 'optimal sensitivity', and how to find it.
