I went back and changed a few things around. 1.65 is a little scary to run at on air and after your post acc, I decided it was best to stay within a 1.6vcore range, and go no higher. I lowered my multiplier and have so far gotten up to 2.65ghz, 265 x 10. OCCT Stable. ALso, in doing so, besides a 166 divider, I haven't had to change my RAM timings at all, from their stock 2.5-4-4-7, which has allowed a lsight improvement when it comes to AQ3.
At 2.75ghz, 250 x 11, and RAM timings slacking a lot 3-8-8-12, and Video Card at 600/1600, I got around 72k, which I was highly dissatisfied with. After making the FSB, multiplier change, and reverting RAM timings back to stock, running at 265 FSB x 10, and keeping video card at the same settings, I got a 78k, which I am a little more happy with, as Im running cooler temps due to the lower vcore, somewhere around 45C loaded. This makes toad happy lol. When I get home tonight I'm going to try and continue cranking out more FSB until I hit that oh-so-familiar wall.
I decided to start overclocking this now outdated CPU setup of mine again, as a result of not being able to complete a decent build until after my birthday in January. Taking the knowledge I have gained from browsing this site and putting it to use. Well...that...and the fact that I get very bored at home when my fiancee isn't there and there's nothing good on TV and I have no games to play that I haven't beaten.
As always I'll pay attention to OCers nightmare, temps, and post benchies later. If anyone has a 3500 skt939, I'd like to know what they are running with it as of now, if they are still running it... Gotta run, at college and class begins in
