Overclocked power consumption remains really good at 240W @ 4900 MHz, we'll explain later.

I want to see that conflicting review now please.

Without discrete GPU

268

268

Difference of 104W idle to peak for the 2600K. Your chart? 70W hmmmm

With discrete GPU

268

268

Difference of 86W idle to peak for the 2600K. Now it gets even worse for your "results" of 70W....hmmmm

Now let's look at Ivy....

edit - typo meant 70 not 170

Wait forgot to post the overclock results for SB...be right back

My i3-2100 pulls ~114 W at full load with Virtualization from VirtualBox.

You still have yet to prove IB consumes more power than SB clock to clock when OC'ed.

And here's SB overclocked:

589

Your review results? 158W at only 200MHz higher.

Bubba, do you know how to do a fair comparison? Show me that website and I will teach you how.

I have it right here.

35052.png

This is not an overclocked comparison. This is running at stock speed. Idle power draw,

35051.png

No dedicated GPU is used, so 20 W difference is explained there.

You still have yet to prove IB consumes more power than SB clock to clock when OC'ed.

And here's where it really gets interesting when comparing your "review"s results to what's actually going on.

570

Source: http://www.obr-hardware.com/2012/04/ivy-bridge-vs-sandy-bridge-on-air.html

Your "review" results? An ambiguous "4600-5000" (and you speak of "fair" comparison) with ONLY a power consumption of 189W.....what? you were going to "teach" me something? say again over.
