So you mean I make money still in a game where I'd play it without making money? Okay.

All RMAH sales are facilitated by Blizzard.... Paypal is what you use to credit your battle.net account with the required funds. Paypal will not be looking at it as a virtual good sale because you are really just depositing/collecting money from your battle.net account. So yea, it will be safe. I don't get you are laughing at.

I am not a WoW fan at all. I just have not been happy with blizzard games since War2. SC2 was alright but feels like a rehash. D3 bored me, 10-12 hours in and I was bored, I wanted D3 to bring back the addiction of D2 but its just not there.

You actually played DIII 10-12 hours? That is a lot considering it is ~45 minutes of content. There is so, so much that is not included in the beta that will be available in the full release on the 15th. I'm also surprised you didn't play/like Warcraft III. Willing to bet I spent thousands and thousands of hours on that game. Played it for roughly 10 years.

I did play war3 some, although dota and battleships were more fun than the game.

Because you can totally tell if it's addicting with an hour of content and limited item drop formulas made just for beta.

But whatev, to each their own.

I promise I want to love it......I just didn't. I have 3 kids and a wife(and a 4th kid on the way) and I have very limited time and funds, and I don't think I will spend them on d3 right away.

Sadly most people won't get that. They gave us 30-60 minutes of gameplay and only a fraction of the first act, and are basing the entire game on that.

Either they haven't played Diablo 2, or they have an are just idiots. The first 30-60 minutes of Diablo 2 were boring as can be as well. Especially more so on Normal difficulty.

I enjoyed all of the game of d2...and I assure you I played a lot. Before we had kids my wife and I used to have fights over my d2 playing time.

I disagree. The first 30 mins of diablo II are great.

Totally agreed.

However, that's assuming you sell a single $100 item, which I find not that likely. Instead, if you sell 20 items at $5, you get $68. The less you can get for individual items, the worse it is, with any items worth less than $6.70 not being worth selling on the RMAH at all, as you make more profit by selling them for gold and cashing the gold out. With commodities, you lose 27.75%. The issue isn't that you're not making money, it's that it's a pretty hefty cut. I expected there to be a large-ish fee, but I figured more like 20% at the worst, so this is disappointing.

I didn't check your math but that is $68 you wouldn't otherwise have. The fact remains that the article is exaggerated to make it seem like Blizzard is taking like 50% or something like that. It is their own in-game content that you are selling to make actual dollars on, after all.

Well, if you sold 50 things for $2 each that would be $100 (seems realistic). That would be -$50 in fees, and then -15% of $50 (I would hope they don't take it out of the $100). Which would be another -$7.50, leaving you with $42.50 out of $100 in sales. Leaving you with a whooping total of 42.5% of sales.

If my math is correct.

Pretty sure anyone that does that either doesn't care about the fees or doesn't have a brain in their skull.

If my math is correct.

If you find a rare item and it sells for $100, the listing fee will still be $1 cuz it's just one item.

If my math is correct.

That's still $42 that you would have never made in any other game by playing it. It's a $1 fee so if you sold something for 150 blizz would still only take out $1, followed by paypals 15%.
What's going on.
