That isn't true. Your time is worth something to get you to do something you normally wouldn't. When you play a game, you are paying to do something you enjoy. The game company does not owe you for your time.

If I normally make $20 an hour, and play diablo, I shouldn't be expecting to make that while playing... that's just absurd. I should expect to be $60 in the hole, and have fun while playing. If I happen to make 50 cents an hour tor, that's great. If not, oh well.

Why you angry?

Because they are saying they own your time which they dont. If you put in work in a game and create items YOU did the work not them. They are profitting off YOUR labor. Its kinda like being taxed after you've been taxed already (bought the game or sub). In the future it will become like 2nd life or a better system where you can trade any item for RL $$$. But atm greedy devs are trying to steal from you and act like they are doing you a favor.

Spending time playing Diablo is not free because you are wasting your time. There are hobbies which could generate money that you could do along with just more work. So again playing Diablo is not free, and blizzard is profitting off your work. Here is the quote so you can read it again since you obviously didnt read it first.

i think this thread proves that people will complain about ANYTHING.
"Blizzard is going to take a piece of money they are allowing me to make, off of a game, FOR FREE!!! OHNOESTHESKYISFALLING!!!"

well... if YOUR time is worth so much, then you shouldn't be playing a video game, in the first place.

Just go around the auction house and back to meeting players in person to trade items, or drop on the floor. whatever it would be... LOL I'm not even buying this game!

You're choosing to waste your time already when you play a game. Why aren't you complaining that you make even less playing "Tony Hawk's pro skater" or watching a movie? You pay for entertainment, and the reward is being entertained. I honestly don't understand why when there is a potential to make money, everything suddenly changes.

The RMAH was mainly added to combat the third party sites that people were buying items off of anyways.

The reason anything in virtual goods holds value is because of the WORK people put in to get it. You could make money working fast food instead of diablo and you'd probably be making more money/hr with a headstart from not buying the game.
30% from gold and 15% from items is pretty huge (or w/e it is exactly).

30% and 15% is not that huge when all your doing is making money by selling items you got while having fun on a game. And by the way, 15% is from paypal and blizz only takes 15% from the gold.\

Also I wouldn't have fun working at fast food, but I sure would have loads of fun playing D3 and then selling some items to a lazy person.
What's going on.

If you don't want them to profit off your labor then don't ever cash out. Send the amounts to your battle.net balance whenever you sell an item. Use the balance to buy better items.

Blizzard created a virtual gold mine but it isn't intended for us to make a living out of the items we find anyway. I don't get what the big deal is when its only 15%. Some of us will be playing the game for fun and wouldn't give a crap if blizzard takes 50% or more.
