I think Blizzard will also introduce extra caps (you can only sell $xxx within 60 days etc.) to combat any serious money making.
If there was no monthly cap on what you could earn, savvy investors and those who have deep experience of playing markets & diablo itself could and would make considerable profits.

So blizzard is going to put a cap on how much you can sell, which, as a consequence, puts a cap on how much money they can make off of you selling items? Not gonna happen. Why on earth would blizzard care how much money somebody makes in a given month?

The only thing I hope they monitor like a hawk is the use of bots. If blizzard is going to be constantly making money off of us selling items, then they need to put in the time to monitor that it's being done legitimately.

This.

Blizz won't cap it, and I don't want to see bots. Ever. mad.gif

I have faith that Blizzard are going to combat botting/hacking more seriously than they have in the past. I would think they are aware that their reputation is at stake with the RMAH and know they cannot let something compromise its legitimacy.

You're absolutely insane if you think farmers are going to use RMAH.

1) You can only list 10 items at a time.
2) Bliz keeps track of every sale.
3) 15+15+paypal fees vs their own sites with no fees

Oh my Lord people.

15% IS the paypal cashout fee.

Before that it's either $1 for a piece of gear or 15% for a stack of gold/crafting materials.

I don't even... I'm done.

I'm actually looking forward to the first market crash caused by scamming/duping/botting/hacking/whatever.The drama as people see their virtual fortunes wiped out by rollbacks and/or inflation will make me snicker.

Can we just go ahead and put these 2 links in the OP?

http://us.battle.net/d3/en/services/auction-house/how-to - step by step guide on how to use both auction houses with the fees clearly laid out in a sidebar.

http://us.battle.net/support/en/games/diablo3/auction-house - all the support information for the AH's.

Hopefully that will keep ppl from posting crazy talk.

If there was a way to liquidate it then all those hours would have been worth it.
Sure Blizzard is a money-grabber, but who can blame them? At least they are offering a service like this. It's a win-win scenario that will revolutionize the virtual economy.
