Fans for Rads question

Thread Starter
I will be having a WC rid with two rads a 360 and a 120 mm and I'm wondering what fans to use I want the airflow but I don't want super noisy ones. I have been looking at Scythe fans lately and they are the most appealing to me with the noise and airflow in them.

Recommendations are welcome and thanks!!

I like those fans also, but I am steering away from them because they use 4-pin molex. I'm not in the mood to use adapters. frown.gif

Edit: wait do they use 4-pin molex?

In before Scyt... Oh, too late.

For price / performance have a look at some Yate Loon Mediums

For performance / noise look at the Scythe line (1850RPM if you are going to control them, 1450 if not depending on your noise tollerance)

For high speed fans and to hell with the noise there are a few options - San Ace fans or high speed GTs seem popular

For everything else (LEDs etc) get what you want, they all perform similarly on a CFM / noise basis.

Just not NF-P12's. They do very badly on rads.

Thats true as well. I'd like to fan control them all so I don't wake everyone up when I go full freaking power haha.

Also I am using a UV tubing setup....so I don't want LED's at all on these things....unless the fans themselves are UV reactive which would be kinda cool since I'm greening the inside of my case out.

Nope. Not the lower speed ones (<2150RPM). They use a standard 3-pin fan connector and come with a 3 pin to Molex adaptor.

Those look nice as well, I'm between those and the Scythes...the thing with my case though is that for my 360 rad I want a push pull along with the 120mm rad and I'm not sure if I can fit the fans on the bottom even in my full tower case....I am getting the case used with a good 360 rad in it and I believe its the thick version.....just wondering if it would fit with the push pull. because I'm cooling the cpu and gpu together. Ohh on another note for Res's with pumps in them do people recommend those or are they not that great and just get the pump seperate? im stuck between the two.
